Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines describe what is and is not allowed on Boogir, so that it stays a place where people can learn from each other. They apply to everything you post, including articles, documents, reviews, job posts, comments, profiles, spaces, and live video, and they are part of our User Agreement.
1.1. What Is Not Allowed
Do not post content that:
- harasses, bullies, or threatens anyone,
- attacks people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics,
- promotes or glorifies violence or terrorism, or shows graphic violence,
- encourages suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders, except to support recovery or raise awareness,
- is sexually explicit or pornographic,
- uses offensive, abusive, or obscene language,
- shares someone’s personal information, such as their address, phone number, or identity documents, without their permission,
- sells, promotes, or explains how to obtain illegal drugs, weapons, or other illegal goods or services, or
- promotes or alleges illegal activity without a clear public interest.
1.2. Children’s Safety
We have zero tolerance for content that sexualizes or endangers children. We remove it, close the accounts involved, and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
2.1. Real Identities
Use your real identity. Do not create fake accounts or fake company spaces, or pretend to be another person or organization. If a Member has died, their family can contact us about the account.
2.2. Spam, Ads, and Scams
Do not post spam or unsolicited advertising, or try to cheat people out of money, personal data, or credits. This includes fake offers, phishing links, and schemes that promise easy returns.
2.3. Misleading Information
Do not post content you know is false or misleading, especially content that could cause real harm to people’s health, safety, money, or trust in public processes. Honest opinions and fair criticism are welcome.
2.4. Reviews and Criticism
Reviews and criticism are welcome when they are honest and based on your own experience. Do not post fake reviews, reviews of your own business or a competitor’s, or reviews you were paid or rewarded for without saying so.
2.5. Job Posts
Job posts must be for a real, current opening, must not ask candidates to pay a fee, and must not discriminate unlawfully. Close or remove a job post once the role is filled, and do not post the same job more than once.
2.6. Other People’s Work
Only post content you created or have the right to share, and credit your sources. Do not copy other people’s articles, images, or videos without permission.
3.1. Live Video
These guidelines apply to live video just as they apply to posts. Only stream content you have the right to show, and do not record or stream people who have not agreed to it where the law requires their consent. When a stream ends, its recording stays on the post and is treated like any other content.
3.2. Space Owners and Moderators
Space owners, managers, and moderators decide which posts are published in their space and may set rules that are stricter than these guidelines, but never looser. They are expected to apply these guidelines to the posts they approve.
3.3. Promoted Posts
Posts promoted with an Audience plan must follow these guidelines like any other post, and must not make misleading claims about what they promote.
4.1. How to Report
If you see a post, comment, space, or Member that breaks these guidelines, report it from its menu and choose the reason that fits best. Reports are confidential, and the person you report is not told who reported them. Do not misuse reporting, for example by repeatedly reporting content you simply disagree with.
4.2. How We Review
Reports are reviewed by our team. Automated systems, including AI models, also check published posts, comments, profiles, and spaces, including their images and videos, for content that may break these guidelines, and a person reviews what they flag before we act on it.
4.3. What We Do
Depending on how serious a violation is and whether it has happened before, we may:
- remove the post or comment, or the parts of a profile or space that break these guidelines,
- notify the author that the content was removed,
- limit features, such as posting, commenting, going live, or earning, or
- lock an account or space temporarily, or close it permanently.
4.4. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on Boogir infringes your copyright, send us a message through the Services with: a description of your work, a link to the content on Boogir, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized, and a statement that your complaint is accurate and that you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner. We remove content when a valid complaint is received and tell the person who posted it, who can respond if they believe it was removed by mistake. Sending a complaint you know is false may make you liable for the harm it causes. We close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
4.5. Appeals
If you believe we removed your content or restricted your account by mistake, send us a message through the Services and tell us why. We will review the decision and let you know the outcome.
4.6. Law Enforcement
We cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires, and we may contact the authorities if content suggests that someone’s life or safety is at immediate risk.
