Payments and Refunds
This Payments and Refunds Policy explains how you pay for Boogir’s paid features and when you can get your money back. It is part of our User Agreement.
1.1. Your Wallet
Boogir’s paid features are paid for with credits held in a Talkou wallet. Boogir uses Talkou for sign-in, messaging, and payments, so the same wallet can pay for Boogir and for other Talkou services that the wallet is set up to allow. A wallet can have owners and managers, who can buy credits, pay for plans, and request refunds for it. The owners of a wallet are responsible for what its managers do with it.
1.2. Buying Credits
You can buy credits in the Boogir app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and through any other payment method we offer in the Services. The credit packs available and their prices are shown in your local currency before you buy, and may differ between payment methods. We may limit how many credits a wallet can buy. Payments made through a store or payment provider are also governed by its terms.
1.3. What Credits Are
Credits are a prepaid license to use Boogir’s paid features. They are not money, electronic money, or a deposit, do not earn interest, and cannot be sold, transferred outside your wallet, or exchanged for cash, except for credits a space earns under our Creator Earnings Terms. Credits do not expire while your wallet exists.
Each credit has a reference value of USD 0.10. We use it to set plan prices and to convert earnings when a space cashes out.
2.1. Plans
Members can buy Reader, Messaging, and Blue Tick plans. Spaces can have Documents, Audience, and Blue Tick plans, which only space owners and managers can buy. A Blue Tick plan is only available after Boogir has verified the account or space. What each plan includes, such as the number of reads, messages, documents, or promoted views in each period, and its price are shown before you confirm.
2.2. Audience Plans
An Audience plan promotes a space’s posts to more readers. We do not guarantee any number of views, clicks, followers, or other results, and promoted posts must follow our User Agreement and Community Guidelines like any other post.
2.3. Monthly and Yearly Plans
Plans run for one month or one year. A yearly plan is paid in full when you buy it, at the discount shown. If you buy a plan you already have, the new period starts when the current one ends.
2.4. Automatic Renewal
Plans renew automatically from the wallet that paid for them. We charge the wallet in the 24 hours before the plan ends. You can turn automatic renewal off at any time in Manage Subscription, and the plan then stays active until its end date and is not charged again.
A plan also stops renewing and ends on its end date if:
- the wallet does not have enough credits to renew it,
- the wallet no longer allows payments for Boogir, or
- the account or space is no longer verified, for a Blue Tick plan.
We let you know when a wallet is running low on credits and when a plan stops renewing.
2.5. Price Changes
We may change plan prices for the future. We will tell you before a new price applies to a plan you already have, and the new price applies from the next renewal. If you do not agree to it, you can turn automatic renewal off before then.
3.1. Plans
Credits spent on a plan are not refunded once you confirm the purchase, including for time left in a plan after you turn off automatic renewal and for reads, messages, or promoted views you did not use, except where the law requires a refund.
3.2. Credits Bought Outside the App Store
A wallet owner or manager can request a refund of credits bought on Google Play or through another payment method we offer, other than the App Store, within 7 days of the purchase, for credits from that purchase that are still unused in the wallet. A refund of a Google Play purchase covers the whole purchase, so all the credits from it must still be in the wallet. The credits are held from the moment you request the refund. If we approve it, the payment is refunded through the provider it was made with; if we decline it, the credits are returned to the wallet.
3.3. Credits Bought on the App Store
Apple handles refunds for purchases made through the App Store. You can request one through Apple’s Report a Problem page. When Apple asks, we tell it how many of the credits have been used, and if Apple refunds a purchase, we remove those credits from the wallet.
3.4. Earned Credits
Credits a space earns under our Creator Earnings Terms are not refundable. They can only be cashed out as those terms describe.
3.5. Your Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
4.1. Chargebacks
If a payment for credits is reversed or charged back, we remove those credits from the wallet. If they have already been spent, we may suspend the plans they paid for, the wallet’s use on Boogir, or the account until the balance is settled.
4.2. Fraud
We may hold or cancel a purchase, and suspend the wallet’s use on Boogir, if we reasonably believe it was made without the payment owner’s permission or otherwise involves fraud.
4.3. Taxes
Prices include any sales tax, VAT, or similar tax that the store or Boogir must collect, unless they are shown separately before you pay. Your bank or card provider may charge its own fees, such as for currency conversion.
