And especially recently, Cambodia has received more and more attention from the 12th largest company in the world and its market financing stood of $520.65 billion, intending to invest more in Cambodia.

At the same time, After Mr. Sangho JO, the General Director of Samsung in Southeast Asia and Oceania led the delegation of the Samsung Thailand Branch with a representative office in Cambodia, paid a courtesy call, and discussed with his excellency Mr. Pan Sosak the Ministery of Trade to find out about doing business, investing, and cooperating on trade promotion in Cambodia.

On that occasion, His excellency Minister Mr. Pan Sosak extended a warm welcome to the Samsung Thailand delegation visiting Cambodia and informed us about Cambodia's efforts to facilitate the business environment in Cambodia, including Strategic norms and more marketing expansion through negotiations to establish bilateral and regional agreements, including the Cambodia-China, Cambodia-Korea Bilateral Free Trade Agreement, and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP).

Mr. Sangho JO expressed his excitement and interest in the rapid development in Cambodia and informed the Minister about the brief history and business activities of Samsung Cambodia that the company is a branch of Thai Samsung Electronics (Branch of Thai Samsung). The company started its business in Cambodia in 2012 and created jobs for many Cambodian people.

He added that Samsung Electronics also has cooperated with relevant national ministries and institutions to promote products by participating in various exhibition events and participating in many social activities such as: Supporting the education of poor children, and building libraries. The school provides a long-term water purification system to rural schools, supporting karate and arts activities for poor students in Cambodia.

He added that in the next step, the company will have the Samsung Innovative Campus program, which will be launched on the campus of the Royal University of Phnom Penh to make it easier for Cambodian students.

Finally, the Director General of Samsung has requested Minister Pan Sosak to preside over the inauguration of the upcoming Samsung Innovative Campus and requested the Minister on behalf of the Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Commission to participate in the World Expo and International Trade Fair and On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, support the candidacy of Busan, Republic of Korea to host the 2030 World Expo.
