User Agreement

Boogir is an online publishing platform where people read and write articles to share what they know. Members share articles, ask questions, and start discussions. Reading is free, and writers are paid for their content based on how many readers view it.

We are committed to being open about the data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1.1. The Contract

By clicking “Register”, “Sign In”, or a similar button, or by accessing or using our Services, you agree to enter into a legally binding contract with Boogir, even if you use the Services on behalf of a company. We call this contract the “Contract” or the “User Agreement”.

If you do not agree to this Contract, do not click “Register”, “Sign In”, or a similar button, and do not access or use our Services. You can end this Contract at any time by closing your account and no longer accessing or using our Services.

1.2. Services Covered

This Contract applies to Boogir.com, Boogir-branded apps, including our mobile app, and the related services we provide (together, the “Services”). Registered users of the Services are “Members”, and unregistered users are “Visitors”.

1.3. Who You Are Contracting With

You are entering into this Contract with Boogir (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Boogir is the controller of the personal data you provide to us, that we collect, or that we process in connection with the Services.

Whether you are a Visitor or a Member, the collection, use, and sharing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which includes our Cookie Policy and the other documents it references, as updated from time to time.

1.4. Changes to These Terms

We may update this Contract, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by other means before the changes take effect, so that you have a chance to review them. Changes will not apply retroactively.

If you do not agree to a change, you can close your account. If you keep using the Services after we publish or send notice of the changes, you agree to the updated terms from their effective date.

2.1. Acceptable Use

You must use the Boogir platform only as this Contract allows. You may not:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or decrypt the platform, or otherwise try to derive its source code;
• Break any applicable law, rule, or regulation when you access or use the platform;
• Sell, assign, license, disclose, distribute, or otherwise transfer or make available the platform, or any copy of it, to any third party;
• Threaten violence, directly or indirectly, promote violence or terrorism, or post adult or pornographic content;
• Harass anyone, or encourage others to target someone with abuse or harassment;
• Promote violence against, attack, or threaten people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease, or run an account whose main purpose is to incite harm against others on these grounds;
• Publish other people’s private or confidential information, such as credit card numbers, home addresses, or Social Security or national identity numbers, without their express permission, or post intimate photos or videos that were taken or shared without the consent of the person shown;
• Impersonate any person or organization in a way that is intended to mislead, confuse, or deceive others.

If an account, or any account related to it, takes part in these activities, we may lock it temporarily or suspend it permanently.

2.2. Scope of License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Boogir platform on any mobile device or computer that you own or control. You may not distribute the platform or make it available over a network where several devices could use it at the same time.

3.1. Eligibility

You must be at least the Minimum Age to use the Services. The “Minimum Age” is 15 years old. If the law requires you to be older for Boogir to lawfully provide the Services to you without parental consent, the Minimum Age is that older age.

3.2. Your Account

Members are account holders. You agree to: (1) use a strong password and keep it confidential; (2) not transfer any part of your account, such as a space, to anyone else; and (3) follow the law and the acceptable use rules in section 2.1. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account unless you close it or report its misuse to us.

3.3. Notices and Messages

We send you notices and messages in two ways: (1) within the Services; or (2) using the contact information you have given us, such as your email address, mobile number, or postal address. You agree to keep your contact information up to date.

4.1. Acceptable Content

Boogir is a place to share content about business, science, technology, and related topics. Content on Boogir should be helpful, insightful, inspiring, and useful to readers. As a Member, you agree not to post, or comment with, content that:

• Is shocking, or promotes hatred, intolerance, discrimination (including racial discrimination), violence, bullying, or the intimidation of an individual or group;
• Shows hate-group paraphernalia, or graphic images of crime scenes or accidents;
• Depicts or promotes cruelty to animals, murder, self-harm, extortion, or blackmail;
• Offers endangered species for sale or trade;
• Advertises anything using profane language.

4.2. Your Content

Boogir lets you add posts, text, photos, videos, links, and other material to share with other users. Everything you upload, publish, display, or send to others through Boogir is “Your Content”. You, or your licensors, keep ownership of the copyright and other intellectual property rights in Your Content, subject to the non-exclusive license you grant us in section 5.1.

You understand and agree that Your Content may be viewed by the general public.

5.1. Your License to Boogir

As between you and Boogir, you own the content and information that you submit or post to the Services. You grant Boogir only the following non-exclusive license:

A worldwide, transferable, and sublicensable right to use, copy, modify, distribute, publish, and process the information and content you provide through the Services and the services of others, without further consent, notice, or compensation to you or others. These rights are limited as follows:

• You can end this license for specific content by deleting it from the Services, or for all your content by closing your account, except (a) to the extent you shared it with others as part of the Services and they copied, re-shared, or stored it, and (b) for the reasonable time it takes to remove it from backup and other systems.
• We will not include your content in advertisements for third-party products and services shown to others, including sponsored content, without your separate consent. However, we may show ads near your content and information without paying you or anyone else, and your social actions, such as likes, comments, follows, and shares, may be visible and included with ads, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• If you use a feature of the Services, we may mention that, with your name or photo, to promote the feature within the Services, subject to your settings.
• We may edit your content or change its format, for example by translating or transcribing it, changing its size, layout, or file type, or removing metadata, but we will not change its meaning.

You and Boogir agree that we may access, store, process, and use any information and personal data you provide in line with our Privacy Policy and your choices, including your settings.

If you send us suggestions or other feedback about the Services, you agree that Boogir may use and share that feedback for any purpose without compensating you, although we are not obliged to use it.

You agree to provide only content and information that does not break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property rights, and you agree that your profile information will be truthful. Boogir may be required by law to remove certain information or content in certain countries.

5.2. Service Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any of the Services. We may also change our prices for the future, with reasonable notice, to the extent the law allows.

Boogir is not a storage service. We do not promise to store or keep showing any information or content you post, and you agree that we have no obligation to store, maintain, or give you a copy of any content or information that you or others provide, except as required by applicable law and as described in our Privacy Policy.

5.3. Other Content, Sites, and Apps

When you use the Services, you may come across content or information that is inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful. Boogir generally reviews content provided by Members and others, but our resources are limited and reviews may not happen immediately. You agree that we are not responsible for content or information provided by others, including other Members. We cannot always prevent misuse of the Services, and you agree that we are not responsible for any such misuse.

5.4. Limits

Boogir may limit how you use the Services, including the number of your posts, comments, and votes, and other activity. Boogir may restrict, suspend, or close your account if you breach this Contract or the law, or misuse the Services, for example by breaking the acceptable use rules in section 2.1.

5.5. Intellectual Property

Boogir reserves all of its intellectual property rights in the Services. Boogir, the Boogir logos, and the other Boogir trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used for the Services are trademarks or registered trademarks of Boogir. Other trademarks and logos used in connection with the Services belong to their respective owners.

5.6. Automated Processing

We use the information and data you provide to recommend spaces, content you may like, and features that may be useful to you. Keeping your profile accurate and up to date helps make these recommendations more accurate and relevant.
