The Ministry of Agriculture signs MOU with Korea University to train human resources in the agriculture industry

SEOUL: On August 1, during a visit to South Korea, Mr. His Excellency Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture of Cambodia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea National Open University and Orient Group on human resource training In the agriculture industry.

In his speech on that occasion, Mr. Veng Sakhon said that Cambodia is currently a country that produces food not only to supply enough to meet local needs and ensure food security, but also a country that produces food to supply the international market as well. Cambodia produces such as Rice, cassava, banana, mango, cashew, rubber, etc. to supply in the local markets and international markets to increase and support food products for human needs.

Therefore, To promote Cambodian agricultural production to have more potential, capacity, and competitiveness in the export market, which has a higher trend, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries had strived to capture the private sector, development partners, and agricultural communities as long-term partners for the agriculture development industry.

In fact, To visit to Korea National Open University aims to establish cooperation in training human resources in the agriculture industry to increase production capacity, increase production productivity, ensure quantity, quality, and safety, strengthen and expand the production chain, and add value and competitiveness to expend to the market.

Dr. Chang, the CEO of Orient Group, said that education turns the poor into the rich and that education turns a person with a disability into a capable, talented, and talented leader and a poor country into a developed country. Because human resources are more productive and full of ability.

He added that for this reason, training in human resources will help to develop this sector to grow by gaining the basics of theoretical and practical study of outstanding farmers, officials, and teachers.
