However, at the end of this year, there are many important achievements that will be completed and allowed the citizen to use as well. The most important highlight there are two main projects that will be completed by the end of this year 2022 then.

First, Darasakor International Airport

Darasakor International Airport is a major project of Koh Kong Province.

The project was scheduled to be launched and has been used since 2021, but due to the Covid-19 epidemic, some work on the project has been delayed. However, according to His Excellency Mr. Sin Chanserivutha, spoken man for the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation had said that, as planned by the Chinese company Union Development Group Company, an international airport investment company is scheduled to launch a test flight in July 2022. Launching this test may be a bit slower than the company has planned.

Please be informed that Darasakor International Airport is built on an area of 4.5 hectares, located in Botum Sakor district, Koh Kong province in Cambodia, while the cost in the first phase is about 200 million dollars.

After completion, this new international airport will be capable of carrying Boeing 777 and Airbus A3430 large aircraft. And if there is more demand, the company will expand in another place more.

Second, Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway

This one-lane road is the longest expressway in Cambodia. This project is scheduled to be completed and allow into temporary use on October 01- 2022, in free of charge for one month as well.

This speech was reported by his excellency Senior Minister Mr. Sun Chanthol during the inspection of the progress of construction work in September.

Please be informed that the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway has a total length of 187.05 km was opened for construction on March 22- 2019, and the total of investment the cost about 2019 million dollars.

This road connects from Village 1, Sangkat Samrong Krom, Khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh to Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk Province.
